Maple Bear Reads!

Posted in Education on Wednesday, September 25th, 2019

Reading is a favourite Canadian pastime for children and adults alike. It is also an activity that our schools include regularly into the daily routine. At Maple Bear, we encourage our families to read together to strengthen the connection within the family as well as the development of literacy skills.

Children are never too young to start reading. Even at a few months old, reading helps with communication, memory and fosters a special bond between you and your child. Books for young readers are typically interactive, playful, bright and repetitive.

Given that reading is so important to us, we are excited to share from the Maple Bear Faculty a list of recommendations of wonderful books you can read with your child. These suggestions are for children from the age of 1 month to 7 years old.

Have you read any of these books with your child(ren)?
